The location of the inn was convenient, being close to downtown and the city center. Guests could easily explore the city and find public places for Wi-Fi access. The downstairs common areas provided a comfortable space for socializing and relaxing.

Some staff members were not friendly and lacked efficiency in handling check-in procedures.

I recently had a delightful stay at a budget-friendly accommodation in Anchorage. The hotel provided great value for money, with reasonable prices for both the room and the additional amenities. I was pleased to find that attention to detail was evident throughout my stay, from the clean and comfortable rooms to the efficient service provided by the staff. The hotel's location was another highlight, conveniently situated in a quiet area within easy walking distance of downtown and close to the train depot. I found this hotel to be a well-appointed and convenient option for my trip.

The only area for improvement I could identify was the vending machines, which could be more reliable in terms of pricing and quality. However, this small inconvenience did not detract from the overall positive experience at this hotel.

I´m not a complaining person and have been in backpackers before but I regret to have to say that the hotel was extremely dirty. Besides the staff was careless, lazy and unprofessional, which may be due because of the inefficient management.

I had a great stay here. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always willing to help with any requests. The beds surprised me with their comfort, providing a good night's sleep. Additionally, the hotel's close proximity to downtown made it convenient for exploring the city on foot. The cleanliness of the beautiful, well-decorated women's bathroom was also impressive, with a huge shower that was immaculate.

Dirt, cold rooms and far from main attractions

Booked a double bed room [double deck]. The management didn't inform me that theres another customer coming to share the spare bed. Its was an awkward scene when he popped open the door. Will be good to have more toilets

Convenient Location, Affordable, Friendly Staff

This hostel is conveniently located near the city center and public transportation. The affordable prices make it a great budget option for travelers. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing assistance with recommendations and directions.

The cleanliness of the hostel left much to be desired. The facilities were not well-maintained and some areas were quite dirty.

We enjoyed our base at the backpackers particularly the downstairs which was warm and spacious. We came and went several times being part of an intrepid tour. Having access to the internet was also a big plus.

A problem I had at the backpackers was the slowness of the desk staff when checking in. It could have been the computer programme but we were booked in the 3 times we came to the Alaska Inn and there was a big delay in sorting rooms. Being booked in and not casual visitors should have been straight forward.

- Good location - relatively quiet and safe area, just 10 min. Off downtown anchorage (walking distance). - OK price/quality (for Alaska, that's it). - Helpful and supportive staff (though not always friendly). - Mini-fridge in each room. - Decent restaurants, take-away stalls, etc, just 2 blocks away.

- Dirty and permanently soggy shared bathrooms. - Overall rundown and makeshift furniture, facilities, etc. Strives hard to get that quaint "mountain hut" appearance, but it just fails at it. - Stuffy and smelly bedrooms. - WiFi Internet access didn't work at all in the basement rooms. I had to go upstairs to get good reception. - One of the glass panes of my double-glazed window was broken. There were sharp shards all over the place.

Proximity to downtown was great; we could walk everywhere easily. The price was right for a budget-friendly trip. The communal kitchen and lounge were convenient for meeting other travelers.

The cleanliness of the place left a lot to be desired. Bathrooms and shower areas were often dirty and messy.

Clean bed sheets every day.

Only one women's bath/toilet on our floor.
